Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding PiePie filling: 1 box South & Spoon Chocolate Pudding mix *reduce amount of milk used to 2 cups. Cook as directed. After pudding boils and while still hot, add 1/2 cup chunky or smooth peanut butter. Stir until incorporated. Pie Topping: 2 cups Cool Whip defrosted, 1/4 cups smooth peanut butter. Fold together until blended. Don't worry the Cool Whip will hold up to the peanut butter. Add the pie filling into your favorite pre-baked pie crust and allow to cool in the refrigerator for four hours minimum. Once the pudding filling is cooled, add Cool Whip / Peanut butter topping and refrigerate until you are ready to serve! Decorate your pie to hearts content! |

PieIngredients: Crust: 1 cup flour 1/2 cup butter 1 cup pecans finely chopped Fillings: 8oz cream cheese 8oz whipped topping (cool whip) 1 cup powdered sugar 1 box Salted Brown Sugar South & Spoon Pudding (prepared) 2 egg yolks 1 1/4 cup whole milk 1 box Simply Vanilla South & Spoon Pudding (prepared) 2 egg yolks 1 1/4 cup whole milk Garnish: 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings or shredded candy bar For the crust: Mix flour, butter & nuts until crumbly - press into 9” circular pie pan and bake @ 350 for 20 minutes. Cool completely While the crust is cooling: Prepare your 2 boxes of South & Spoon pudding, stirring the whole time (6 minutes) For the pudding: In a cool saucepan beat milk & yolk Add dry mix and stir thoroughly Turn heat on med-low & stir until pudding thickens& boils (6 minutes) Reduce heat to low for 60 seconds and stir gently Remove from heat For the filling: Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar mercilessly Fold in the whipped topping Spread over cooled crust Put it all together: Swirl Salted Brown Sugar pudding and Vanilla pudding in semi circular swirls over the entire pie surface Let stand a few minutes then swirl whipped topping on top and garnish with a flurry of chocolate shavings (dramatic flourishes encouraged) Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. |
